Happy Thanksgiving!

Since God chose you to be the holy people he loves, you must clothe yourselves with tenderhearted mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. Make allowance for each other’s faults, and forgive anyone who offends you. Remember, the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others. Above all, clothe yourselves with love, which binds us all together in perfect harmony. And let the peace that comes from Christ rule in your hearts. For as members of one body you are called to live in peace. And always be thankful.

Let the message about Christ, in all its richness, fill your lives. Teach and counsel each other with all the wisdom he gives. Sing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs to God with thankful hearts. And whatever you do or say, do it as a representative of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through him to God the Father.

Colossians 3:12-17 New Living Translation (NLT)

Today we give thanks. The God of Creation is Alpha and Omega, so let us thank Him today and every day for His gift of life and promises for our futures. With each breath we take, He is worthy of our grateful praise. Let us enjoy our feasts and each other as we gather together, and give thanks for the love of family and friends. Let us give thanks for the opportunity to celebrate this day even if we find ourselves rejoicing alone. Let us remember those who are without the abundance we have been blessed to receive and all those who have suffered loss this season, sending up our prayers on their behalf.

It is by God's grace that Jesus Christ, our blessed Savior, has freely given His life for us all. For this, we must be thankful each and every day of our lives. Happy Thanksgiving today and forevermore, in His name.

Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name. Psalm 100:4 NIV

Is not the cup of thanksgiving for which we give thanks a participation in the blood of Christ? And is not the bread that we break a participation in the body of Christ? 1 Corinthians 10:16 NIV
