Restoration

When we were utterly helpless, Christ came at just the right time and died for us sinners. Now, most people would not be willing to die for an upright person, though someone might perhaps be willing to die for a person who is especially good. But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners. And since we have been made right in God’s sight by the blood of Christ, he will certainly save us from God’s condemnation. For since our friendship with God was restored by the death of his Son while we were still his enemies, we will certainly be saved through the life of his Son.

Romans 5:6-10 New Living Translation (NLT)

Before Jesus was sent into the world, people were without hope and didn't even know it. Some still don't know it and some others still don't believe it. Yet, just as we had no input into God's plan for His Creation, He does not ask our opinion now. We see what we see and judge what we think we know from what we see, but we control nothing. We are all sinners being saved by grace wandering around asking "why." Our task is to love and by sending His only begotten Son to die, God showed us great love, with no conditions, as an example for us to do the same. God's mission is restoration and His method is mercy.

We may not understand the process right now, but one day God's truth will be fully revealed to everyone those who believe and those who don't. Until then, we who believe are to walk by faith in His Word and share our belief by how we live and love. God will bring His Light back into this dark world and restore all the good that was lost in His Creation. Many see death as the end. For Jesus, death was just the beginning of His work of restoring God's original plan of everlasting life.

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16 NIV
