For the grace of God has appeared that offers salvation to all people. It teaches us to say “No” to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age, while we wait for the blessed hope—the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ, who gave himself for us to redeem us from all wickedness and to purify for himself a people that are his very own, eager to do what is good.
Titus 2:11-14 New International Version (NIV)
By God's grace we are given the ability to live in this world. Some believe it is by their own efforts they are able to clear the hurdles strewn along the path of their journey through life. However, each day brings some kind of struggle or another obstacle to overcome. God's mercy is new each morning because He knows we need it every day.
As we learn to rely upon God's grace and hold fast to His promises, we begin to realize what a precious gift that has been made available to us all. Jesus laid down His life for our salvation. As we believe and trust in Him, Christ claims us as His own. Not because of who we are but because of who He is.
I will put My laws in their mind and write them on their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people. Hebrews 8:10 NKJV
