Finish the Race

However, I consider my life worth nothing to me; my only aim is to finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me—the task of testifying to the good news of God’s grace.

Acts 20:24 New International Version (NIV)

Salvation is a gift freely given but it is not cheap. We who believe that Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of the Most High God, who died for our sin and was resurrected so that we may have eternal life, know that Christ paid the price for this gift of grace with His blood. His sinless life was worth far more than any of ours and He gave His life to reconcile us to our Heavenly Father who has a purpose for our existence.

God has plans for everything and everyone He created and our reasonable sacrifice is to be willing vessels for His use. As we run this race of life to its finish and complete the tasks given by our Lord and Savior, we are to share our hope with a fallen world that God will restore. Let us keep fighting the good fight of faith in God's power to do all things according to His will. Jesus Christ has purchased our future. We were reconciled to finish this race for the Lord. We will live because He died for us.

For to me, to live is Christ, and to die is gain.Philippians 1:21 NKJV

I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. 2 Timothy 4:7 NKJV
