Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ has become a child of God. And everyone who loves the Father loves his children, too. We know we love God’s children if we love God and obey his commandments. Loving God means keeping his commandments, and his commandments are not burdensome. For every child of God defeats this evil world, and we achieve this victory through our faith. And who can win this battle against the world? Only those who believe that Jesus is the Son of God.
1 John 5:1-5 New Living Translation (NLT)
If seeing is believing, then who do we see when we look in the mirror? Is how we came to be reflected simply because we see ourselves looking back? The existence of mankind is a miracle. It is explained scientifically by people deemed to be qualified to state the facts of evolution. Yet, these so-called facts come from things that have already happened, not from those who actually witnessed the process. That being said, no person on this planet can claim to have seen or know anything about the beginning of life. God does make this claim.
We have God's Word which God inspired men to write about how life began and how it will end in this world. God sent His Son to help our unbelief in what we cannot see. God left the Holy Spirit to live within our hearts to remind us of what Jesus did as He walked the earth and the promises He made to us as He did. It's all in God's Word. Believe it or not, that's what we are given to work with. In hearts filled by the Spirit, we are also given the opportunity to know the truth as much or more than believing anything we choose to accept from things we are told by others or using our finite minds. Believing that Jesus is the Son of God is not the hardest part. God has revealed enough of Himself in Creation and through His Son to help us believe and trust in Him. The hardest part is not believing what the world says against our Savior and Lord. However, not believing in Him will have consequences we do not want. We'd better believe that.
