A Prayer of David

Because your love is better than life, my lips will glorify you. I will praise you as long as I live, and in your name I will lift up my hands. I will be fully satisfied as with the richest of foods; with singing lips my mouth will praise you.

On my bed I remember you; I think of you through the watches of the night. Because you are my help, I sing in the shadow of your wings. I cling to you; your right hand upholds me.

Psalm 63:3-8 New International Version (NIV)

Heavenly Father,

All honor and glory we offer You for You are the God and Father of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. High and lifted up, You sit on Your majestic Throne blessing us continuously with Your mercy and grace. We lift our heads and eyes and hands and hearts to You, and with voices lifted up, we give You praise. With all that we are, we praise Your holy name. Thank You for who You are and all that You do to demonstrate Your never-failing, never-ending love for us. You have made us Your children through our faith in Your Son, Jesus Christ, and You are our God. You are our help. Our hope is in You. Have Your Way, Lord!

In the blessed name of Jesus, we pray.

Amen.

This is what the Sovereign Lord says:

“See, I will beckon to the nations, I will lift up my banner to the peoples; . . . Then you will know that I am the Lord; those who hope in me will not be disappointed.” Isaiah 49:22-23 NIV
