So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.
Matthew 6:31-34 NIV
When we worry about things, we are actually realizing our lack of control. Perhaps why God allows "worry" to be a part of our nature is so that He is glorified by providing for all our needs. God does not promise us a future in the world as it is. He promises us forever in His Kingdom. And just in case we forget how little we actually do control, Jesus came to remind us and tell us not to worry about what we can't control. All we have to do is follow and trust in Him who does control tomorrow, no matter happens. His grace is sufficient.
Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life? Matthew 6:27 NIV
