Remember the word that I said to you, ‘A servant is not greater than his master.’ If they persecuted Me, they will also persecute you. If they kept My word, they will keep yours also.
John 15:20 NKJV
When troubles rise against us, we have a tendency to think "Why me?". Can we even imagine what Jesus must have felt as He hung on that cross? As believers, we realize that Christ knew why it had to be Him to die for our sins. He, who was without sin, gave His life for the sin of mankind because only He was worthy to do it. Are we greater than our Master? Our response to His sacrifice is to be thankful He did what He did and to let this fallen world know our Savior by our faith and trust in Him as we go through trial and tribulation. As we follow Jesus Christ to the Kingdom of God, we can rejoice and be glad He chose to say: Why not Me?
