“I will be your God throughout your lifetime—until your hair is white with age. I made you, and I will care for you. I will carry you along and save you.
“To whom will you compare me? Who is my equal?
“Remember the things I have done in the past. For I alone am God! I am God, and there is none like me. Only I can tell you the future before it even happens. Everything I plan will come to pass, for I do whatever I wish.”
Isaiah 46:4-5, 9-10 New Living Translation (NLT)
We don't have to wonder who God is. Omniscient. Omnipotent. Omnipresent. Almighty. All powerful. He tells us clearly who He is in His inspired written Word. He holds nothing back. He does not stutter or struggle to explain. He leaves no doubt. He is large and in charge. We have only to believe by faith that He is who He says He is. He sent His only Son Jesus who gave His life so that one day we can know God fully, just as we are now fully known. He promises everlasting life in His Kingdom to all who believe and follow His Son — His Word made flesh. This is a promise from the Creator and Sustainer of Life who proves who He is with every breath we take and all that we see of the works of His hands.
No. We don't have to wonder who God is. The question is: Who are we?
For now we see only a reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known. 1 Corinthians 13:12 NIV
