Who Am I?

But what about you? he asked. Who do you say I am? Simon Peter answered, “You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God.” Matthew 16:15-16 NIV When Jesus asks this question, He is seeking an answer from each of us. Much like He asked Peter (who later denied even knowing Him), He asks every one of us individually who we say He is. He does not ask who we think He is or who we are told He is. And just like Peter, He has given us all a chance to figure out the answer and He doesn't hold it against us as we follow Him and come to the conclusion: You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God.
