Waiting, Lord

Listen to my words, Lord, consider my lament. Hear my cry for help, my King and my God, for to you I pray. In the morning, Lord, you hear my voice; in the morning I lay my requests before you and wait expectantly. Psalm 5:1-3 NIV

Thank You, Father God, for who You are and for who I am in You. Strengthen me as You direct my steps. You know the state of my heart and examine every thought that enters my mind. You know I am weary, afraid and long for a change in my circumstance. Yet, You also know Your plans for my existence and that I am waiting impatiently for them to take place. Forgive me as I struggle to keep still but be glorified because I know that You are God. In the name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.

Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him . . . Psalm 37:7 NIV
