Shine Your Light!

When you are with unbelievers, always make good use of the time. Be pleasant and hold their interest when you speak the message. Choose your words carefully and be ready to give answers to anyone who asks questions.

Colossians 4:5-6 Contemporary English Version (CEV)

The world is filled with different people who believe in different things. We who believe in the One True God are blessed because we have put our faith in the Creator who will reveal Himself to all in due time. He has called us to love everyone and to live in ways that reflect that we are indeed children of the Most High God. As we venture out into the world, we are to let our ways demonstrate to others the reason for our hope and faith.

The Holy Spirit will direct our steps from our hearts. Believers are not given the task to condemn or judge others but to love them. Pride is a stumbling block when it is used to look down on or stand above someone else. As we stumble, we are subject to falling. The only thing we have to be proud of is that we already know and believe that Jesus Christ died for the sins of the world. When given the opportunity, we are to share this truth with others.

As we meet new people today, let us shine the light of Christ that dwells within us and be ready to answer any questions without saying a word.

In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven. Matthew 5:16 (NIV)
