Praying the Psalms

Whom have I in heaven but you? I desire you more than anything on earth. My health may fail, and my spirit may grow weak, but God remains the strength of my heart; he is mine forever.

Psalm 73:25-26 New Living Translation (NLT)

Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. Point out anything in me that offends you, and lead me along the path of everlasting life.

Psalm 139:23-24 New Living Translation (NLT)

God of Glory,

All Creation displays Your power and the awesome works of Your hands. We worship You in Spirit and in truth and make our petitions known with the Psalmists. Your will be done on earth as it is in Heaven. We offer praise and thanks for who You are and for all You do. Make us to be useful vessels and use us to further Your Kingdom.

We thank You for Your Son, Jesus, who was, is and is to come. With His blood, He has purchased our pardon and has already overcome this world. Help us, as we wait for His return, to walk in His victory as we pray to You in His name.

Amen
