POWER: Part One

“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere—in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” Acts 1:8-9 NLT May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. Romans 15:13 NIV Jesus gave us many things before He ascended to the Father to prepare for eternity. He gave us peace in knowing He had won victory over sin and death. He gave us hope for the future. However, the gift of the Holy Spirit left in His stead gave us power. There is power in the name of Jesus and it exists in the hearts and minds of all who believe and follow our Savior. There are many in this world who believe that power is something to be achieved through wealth or position. That's a lie of the enemy that we see exposed each time a person supposedly esteemed with earthly power laid to rest. God is the only true Source of Power. And He has made His power available to everyone through the Holy Spirit. Tell somebody.
