He Died for All!

When we were utterly helpless, Christ came at just the right time and died for us sinners. Now, most people would not be willing to die for an upright person, though someone might perhaps be willing to die for a person who is especially good. But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners.

Romans 5:6-8 NLT

Jesus did not give His life on that cross for a bunch of good people. He did it for a bunch of sinners so that we could be good enough to be reconciled to our Creator who will not bless sin. In fact, God evicted Adam and Eve from the Garden of Eden when they disobeyed His command. Jesus Christ, who was without sin, gave His life for our sin so that we could stand in His righteousness before our Heavenly Father. The intercession of Christ is what makes our salvation possible. I hope God is amused (and not annoyed) when we declare ourselves more holy than someone else because it is almost funny when we judge another's transgressions by comparing them to something we do that we deem "not as bad." We are all sinners who have the opportunity to be saved by grace if we believe and walk in the footsteps of our Savior and allow Him to show us how to be good people now. The question to ask ourselves is this: Are we good enough to die to save the sinners that we think we have the right to judge? That's what Jesus did!
