Goodness

I would have lost heart, unless I had believed that I would see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.

Psalm 27:13 NKJV

God is good. In the beginning, He created this world and declared it good. For reasons we don't fully comprehend, He has allowed it to become a place that is not always so good. Jesus came to help us to make things good again as He encourages us to look forward to God's Kingdom where things will be good forever. So does this mean we must wait for Heaven to see goodness? No. God is still good and all He has made is still good. We must not lose heart for the Lord's goodness does exist in this land. Perhaps God is waiting for us to see the goodness He placed in each one of us and to be an example for others to see this goodness. Let us trust God to continue to handle the things that are not so good while we work on our own goodness while we live here. Then maybe we will see goodness in the land of the living.
