God Will Finish His Work

And I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns. Philippians 1:6 NLT When we give our hearts to God through Jesus Christ, we become works in progress. Salvation is secured through our belief that Jesus is Lord and Savior of our lives for He includes us in His intercession for those He has redeemed. However, that is why we need an Intercessor, who even left His Spirit to indwell our hearts and empower us for the battle ahead after our souls have been saved. The world will bring temptations designed to defeat us. We will encounter trials and tribulations in this war that can trip us up. But God has promised that when we belong to Him, He will continue His good work in us until that day when He sends Jesus back to finish what He started. Believe it! And you also were included in Christ when you heard the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation. When you believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit.
