God's Promises

“The rain and snow come down from the heavens and stay on the ground to water the earth. They cause the grain to grow, producing seed for the farmer and bread for the hungry. It is the same with my word. I send it out, and it always produces fruit. It will accomplish all I want it to, and it will prosper everywhere I send it.”

Isaiah 55:10-11 NLT

When we begin to think that by our own efforts we are accomplishing our goals and making our dreams come true, we must remember that it is God who ordains our destinies. This is also helpful when we go through trials, since no one wants to think we are alone during these times. It is true that the steps we take in both instances has much to do with where we end up. Yet, as we plant seeds, it is God who makes them grow and He has promised to use the bad for our good. In God's Word, there are promises that He will fulfill as we trust in them. Our blessing in this is that those promises from God always produce fruit. Let us settle God's Word in our hearts and minds, and allow Him to help us to accomplish all He has promised. It is He who sends the rain and it is He who makes things prosper.
