Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.
Isaiah 41:10 NKJV
Everybody is afraid of something. Perhaps that is why God tells us repeatedly in Scripture that we are not to be afraid. When we accept that our Creator is omnipotent, omnipresent and omniscient, we begin to realize why He can make declarations like this in His Word that cover everything — especially our fears. Some things that frighten us are real. Even some people can be truly terrifying! Yet, our God is greater than any force in this world He has made and He has given us promises that will never change. Putting our trust in Him is like putting on a shield of protection. True, it is an invisible shield but it is a shield of faith that can withstand anything and anyone that comes against us. Indeed, with God as our Protector, we have nothing to fear but fear itself because when we allow fear to overwhelm us, we are lacking in faith that God is large and in charge. Relax! He's got the whole world in His hands. Don’t be afraid of anyone, because I am with you to protect you,” says the Lord.
