“Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”
Matthew 11:28-30 NKJ
Often we look at Mondays with dread. Heading back to the grind is the sentiment of many who have had the weekend to relax and rejuvenate from the previous week of labor. God blesses us with seven days in a week of life and some of us spend five of them looking forward to the two at the end. And that's if we're also blessed to have a paying five day job. Jesus issues us an invitation for total rest for our souls to carry us through each day of the week. Our souls are restored as we accept His invitation to come to Him and lay our burdens at His feet every day. He offers an easy yoke and a light load where the daily cares of this world are diminished of the weight of our trials and tribulations. In Him, we can view each day on this planet as new beginning of joy and live our lives as a reflection of the rest for our souls we will one day experience forever.
