Let's Talk

If God is for us, who can be against us?  He who did not spare his own Son but gave him up for us all, how will he not also with him graciously give us all things?  Who shall bring any charge against God's elect?  It is God who justifies.  Who is to condemn?  Christ Jesus is the one who died — more than that, who was raised — who is at the right hand of God, who indeed is interceding for us.  Who shall separate us from the love of Christ?  Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword?

No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.  For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Romans 8:31-35, 37-39 English Standard Version (ESV)

Confidence.  As we believe God's Word and trust in Him, we can be confident.  We are assured of our Savior's help and blessings because God is sovereign and it is He who gave His only begotten Son, Jesus, to be our Savior.  Nothing in all creation can come against us if God is for us because He is the Creator.   Nothing exceeds this power and it is ours through Christ.  Nothing can change this or take it away.  I am convinced!

Yet, we often despair when we experience trial and tribulation.  The world is broken.  There is trouble everywhere in this fallen land!  So we must daily pick up our crosses and follow Christ.  Jesus' life was given to demonstrate God's love for us when we did not deserve it and because He did this, nothing can separate us from that love.  We only need look to Him and know without doubt that He gives it freely.  We must trust Him.  Nothing can keep us down as we follow our Savior.  We may stumble, but He keeps us from falling or picks us up if we do.

Jesus makes us winners no matter what our circumstances may be!  While believing and following Him, we are more than conquerors because of who He is.   Come boldly to His Throne of grace!  We can be confident of His love.  It does not fail!
