Let's Talk

Happy Thanksgiving!

Oh come, let us sing to the Lord!  Let us shout joyfully to the Rock of our salvation.  Let us come before His presence with thanksgiving; Let us shout joyfully to Him with psalms.  For the Lord is the great God, and the great King above all gods.
Psalm 95:1-3 New King James Version (NKJV) (emphasis mine)

Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, and into His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him, and bless His name.  For the Lord is good; His mercy is everlasting, and His truth endures to all generations.
Psalm 100:4-5 New King James Version (NKJV)

Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever.
Psalm 107:1 New King James Version (NKJV)

I will offer to You the sacrifice of thanksgiving, and will call upon the name of the Lord.
Psalm 116:17 New King James Version (NKJV)

Today we give special thanks for our blessings.  Many will gather with friends and family.  Those who have others to be with today have this, along with so many other things, to be thankful for because some others will be alone.  Yet, when thanking God for who He is means we are never alone.  We can be very thankful for that!

The season begins with Thanksgiving and runs through the New Year.  Let us carry hearts of thankfulness into the new year and beyond, especially since we celebrate the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ, in the midst of it all.  He is our reason to be thankful.  "Let us shout joyfully to Him with psalms."

Jesus is the reason for the season!  Happy Thanksgiving!
