Let's Talk

I Pray

“Two things I ask of you, Lord; do not refuse me before I die:

Keep falsehood and lies far from me; give me neither poverty nor riches, but give me only my daily bread.  Otherwise, I may have too much and disown you and say, ‘Who is the Lord?’  Or I may become poor and steal, and so dishonor the name of my God.”

Proverbs 30:7-9 New International Version (NIV)

Dear Lord,

All power, glory and dominion are Yours for You alone are the sovereign God who rules over Heaven, earth and all that exists within them.  Through Jesus Christ, Your only begotten Son, I come boldly before Your Throne of mercy seeking Your grace to help me live.  Thank You for the gift of love given through the precious blood of Jesus.  Because of Him, I am Yours.  Make me holy and useful for Your Kingdom building work on this planet as I await the return of my Savior to complete the work You have begun in me.

I pray Your Word over my life and over all those I love.  I thank You for all you do to demonstrate that You are the almighty and living God who answers prayer according to Your will.  Let it be done as You watch over and guide us through all we may endure.  I pray for healing and provision and strength to do what is pleasing in Your sight.  I lean on Your promises as the Holy Spirit grants me utterance helping me to pray.  Grant me favor, Lord God, to run this race to the end with You by my side.  You are my Help and Hope and my trust is in You.

In the matchless name of Jesus I pray.
Amen.
