I Pray - God's Love

When I am surrounded by troubles, You keep me safe.
You oppose my angry enemies and save me by Your power.
You will do everything you have promised;
Lord, Your love is eternal.
Complete the work that You have begun.

Psalm 138:7-8 Good News Translation (GNT)

My Lord and My God,

God and Father of my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, all glory is Yours for every good and perfect gift.  You are the true and living God who rules with sovereign power over all that exists.  I worship You because You first loved me and gave Your only Son, Jesus, to be my Savior.  By His blood, I am redeemed for I believe He died for my sin.  Guide me through these trials of life for You are the almighty God who created everything and Your love is my most treasured possession.

Thank You, Lord, for who You are and for Your constant presence in my life.  I live and breathe and have my being through Your grace.  I am forgiven of sin and I am to live to glorify Your name.  Each time I fall short of Your glory, You are still with me guiding me back to Your fold, as a shepherd leads his lost sheep back to the flock.

Thank You for this kind of love that I cannot receive from anyone or anywhere else.  You are teaching me not to even look for it any other place but from You, but also require that I at least try to give it to others.  I am learning to have no expectations from mankind because we all are finite and limited works in progress.  You are God and Your love and mercy are infinite, enduring forever, never-failing and never-changing.  And because of Jesus, this love is mine.

In His precious name I pray.
