Let's Talk

What's Your Attitude?

Is there any encouragement from belonging to Christ? Any comfort from his love?  Any fellowship together in the Spirit? Are your hearts tender and compassionate?  Then make me truly happy by agreeing wholeheartedly with each other, loving one another, and working together with one mind and purpose.

Don’t be selfish; don’t try to impress others. Be humble, thinking of others as better than yourselves.  Don’t look out only for your own interests, but take an interest in others, too.

You must have the same attitude that Christ Jesus had.

Philippians 2:1-5 New Living Translation (NLT)

Jesus was a tough act to follow.  Yet believing in and following Him secures our future and gives us hope. He gave up His divinity, came to earth to die on a cross and rose from the grave to ascend to our Father's right-hand.  He did all this to show us how to have His attitude toward loving each other.  And it is not over, friends. He is preparing our place in His Kingdom.

He left us a Helper to enable us to have His attitude because He knew we wouldn't be able to do it on our own.  As we believe, His Spirit resides within our hearts, using us to ensure no one feels forsaken. We are never to be alone.

God's presence is a constant Source of help.  He gives us this help to help us to help each other.
